Your role at zolar

ZOLAR GmbH - your digital companion for the future of energy. Through ZOLAR's own and external software-based services, we help our partners to increase the efficiency, quality and cost-effectiveness of their projects.

What you will be responsible for

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual closings, ensuring accuracy under HGB and IFRS
• Manage and control accounts payable and accounts receivable with a proactive, detail-oriented approach
• Perform bank reconciliations and support cash flow planning
• Ensure compliance with German tax regulations (VAT, corporate income tax, payroll)
• Prepare for audits and liaise with tax authorities and external auditors
• Streamline accounting processes using DATEV and ERP systems (NetSuite experience is a plus)

Your qualifications

• 5+ years of accounting experience, ideally in a startup or SaaS environment.
• Proficiency in HGB, IFRS, and DATEV (mandatory).
• Fluency in German and strong English communication skills.
• Proven experience in monthly closings, AP/AR, and process improvement.
• Highly organized, detail-driven, and hands-on.
