We offer exciting projects at our renowned customer Airbus Defence and Space and we are looking for a motivated employee for the position "Aerodynamic Engineer" (m/f/d).

Your tasks:

• Design and generate aerodynamics datasets for stability & control, loads and performance assessments
• Develop and apply machine learning methodologies to aerodynamic dataset generation Increase the accuracy by improving data fusion methodologies to combine numerical, wind-tunnel and flight test data
• Conduct empirical and experimental data analysis of aerodynamic characteristics
• Support the preparation and conduction of wind tunnel and flight test programs
• Design and generate aerodynamics datasets for stability & control, loads and performance assessments
• Ensure consistency of aerodynamics datasets by verification and validation analysis and the definition of aerodynamic tolerances
• Conduct empirical and experimental data analysis of aerodynamic characteristics
• Support the preparation of wind tunnel and flight test programs
• Support on-site wind tunnel campaigns

Your profile:

• Completed studies in the field of Computer science, aerospace, machine learning or a comparable qualification
• Convincing experience in machine learning, artificial intelligence and data fusion algorithms is necessary
• Profound knowledge in aerodynamics with an affinity to fighter aircraft is mandatory
• Good programming skills in Fortran as well as familiarity with Linux/Unix operating systems
• Very good knowledge of Python and MS-Office
• Fluent in English
• Proficient knowledge of German
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (2-3 times per year for 1-4 weeks to USA and Amsterdam
